What to expect

What is Band Chat?
Band Chat is a video podcast that airs every Friday night on YouTube and is simulcast on Metal Kross Radio to over 30 countries. Podcast and simulcast go live at 8pm. Hosted by the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Innocents Torn, Bonny Freimuth brings the green room into the living room of 45k viewers each week.

Band Chat is a candid sit down with our bands and bands from all over the world. We discuss the reality of living the band life, the expectations as well as triumphs, failures and everything in between. We discuss your music, video releases, single drops and so much more. It is non scripted and uncensored so we just never know where the conversation will take us.

Band Chat interviews are conducted using Zoom Meetings, it is a half hour long interview and the link to the meeting can be shared to several band members in many different locations, even overseas. So, if you have busy schedules like us, we make it easy to chime in. Interviews can be on a PC, Laptop, Tablet or cell phone. If you are using a cell phone, we ask you to turn your device horizontally so the view of you matches our format. We can send you the link to your email or socials, we try to schedule up to 2 interviews per week, so space does go quickly but we always work around your time zone and schedule. We do make special accommodations for such things as release dates, etc.

We schedule interviews typically on Sundays and we work around your time zone. Your meeting invite however will appear to be on our time zone which is Pacific Daylight time. We are located in Washington State.

Should you choose to be a guest, or if you have been invited, we would first like to welcome you. We want to put you the artist, band or project in the best light possible. We ask that before the podcast is filmed that you send us your links, logo and group or single picture of your choice. Video or single release dates, copy of the album or single cover, if it applies and any thumbnail for a video that you would like us to use within the video itself. We use these tools and information to create our YouTube Thumbnails, promo's and drive new fans to where you are online.

Outside of connecting one band to another, Band Chat is like sitting down after a show and talking in the greenroom. Having fun, relating to one another and having a good laugh. But it serves a bigger purpose as well, we want to open the doors to new fans as well as inspire up and coming musicians to live their dream. We find that the majority of interviews always has a positive message someone out there needed to hear. You can inspire others just by being yourself.

Ok, so what are the rules? Well, there are no rules. Speak as you would backstage, if you drop an F bomb...we won't take it out. We only edit for silence and if something goes really wrong, like your cat wants to be a part of your interview but wants to show the camera the wrong end...we may edit that out LOL. If you smoke or drink on the show, we have no issue with that. We want you to be your authentic self.

Our podcast averages about 5k views within the first two to 4 days, and some 10k not bad...right!?? That's a lot of new fans~

What to expect once your click your interview link.

When you click the interview link it will automatically take you to our meeting room. Once there your hostess, Bonny will be sure that your video and audio are working. She will then press the record button. You will possibly here the platform say, recording in progress. We ask our guest to give us a plug at the beginning of our show. This is used to promote your show as well as other shows. What is a plug? Your hostess will do a 1...2....3 and we ask that you say your name and band name along with the phrase "and you are watching Band Chat." We ask for a second one as well, but this time state your name, your bands name "and you are listening to Band Chat." You may choose not to do this, but it really helps promote the podcast itself as well as the one you are featured in.
Bonny will then welcome the viewer to the podcast, introduce herself and then you...we always applaud you. Then we just go from there. If you have a specific subject you would like to discuss, let her know a head of time as she does a lot of homework on you before the filming so she can present you and your music in a professional manor.
